Commissioning an Original Work

I usually work from one sitting where get to know the subject, take reference photographs and perhaps make preparatory sketches. For formal works I sometimes arrange a session at a photographic studio for the purpose of using professional lighting. I can also work from existing photos when a sitting is not possible.
